Image showing visitors crossing the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge in AntrimTake on the exhilarating challenge of crossing a precarious rope bridge linking a rocky island to cliffs. Feel the tremendous sense of achievement as you make the 18m crossing. And enjoy stunning views across the sea to Scotland.

Be adventurous... experience the thrill and excitement of crossing a precarious rope bridge!

Get immense satisfaction from making the crossing over a 24m deep by 18m wide chasm that connects the rocky island to the cliffs. The inlet below gives access to a salmon fishery.

What a sense of achievement! And there's a real bonus - you can enjoy some stunning views over the sea to the Scottish coast as you cross.

As you make the crossing, spare a thought for the local salmon fishermen who put up the rope bridge every year.

Get in the mood for the challenge by taking in the fresh air on the exhilarating 0.5km walk along the coastal path to reach the bridge. As you approach, you can also observe the unique geology, flora, fauna and birdlife that combine to create a Site of Special Scientific Interest locally.

This well-loved attraction, which appeals to all ages, is just 20 minutes from the Giant's Causeway.
