By staying in Greenbox EU Flower accommodation you are guaranteed the following:

  • At least 22% of the accommodations electricity comes from a renewable energy resource if available.
  • No heavy coals or oils are used as an energy source.
  • At least 22% of the electricity for heating and hot water comes from a renewable energy source.
  • Where hot water boilers are installed these are tested for efficiency on a regular basis.
  • The windows are thermally insulated to an appropriately high degree.
  • The accommodation is committed to the use of energy efficient light bulbs.
  • Steps have been taken to ensure that the water flow from taps and showers has been reduced where necessary.
  • A towel and sheet policy is in operation.
  • Plants and gardens are watered only in the early morning and late evening.
  • All of the accommodations waste water is treated to an appropriately high degree.
  • Disinfectants and other dangerous chemicals are only used when legally required.
  • The accommodation is separating and recycling waste produced on the premises.
  • Information is available on how guests can minimise their impact on the environment while staying in the accommodation.
  • Information is available on local public transportation for staff and guests.
  • All equipment is serviced and maintained by qualified personnel.
  • An environmental policy and action plan is in place.
  • Staff have been appropriately trained in environmentally friendly methods of minimising energy use, saving water, minimising the use of dangerous chemical substances and waste management.
  • Guests are being made aware of the accommodations environmental policy and encouraged to participate.
  • All the accommodations use of energy and chemical consumption is monitored and recorded.
